A Family-Friendly Getaway Near Kurumoch International Airport
As a family of four, we recently embarked on a weekend getaway near Kurumoch International Airport. Our goal was to find kid-friendly activities that would entertain both our young children and us. We were pleasantly surprised by the array of options available right at our doorstep.
Samara Zoo
Our first stop was Samara Zoo, just a short drive from the airport. The zoo boasts a diverse collection of animals from all over the world, including lions, tigers, elephants, and gorillas. Our kids were thrilled to see their favorite animals up close and learn about their habitats.
Samara Space Museum
Next, we headed to the Samara Space Museum. This interactive museum showcases Russia's rich history in space exploration. We explored life-size replicas of the Soyuz spacecraft, learned about the first man to walk in space, and even watched a 3D film about space travel. The kids were fascinated and left inspired to dream big.
Samara Sports Complex
For some active fun, we visited the Samara Sports Complex. This state-of-the-art facility offers a variety of sports activities for all ages. Our kids loved the indoor trampoline park and the rock climbing wall. We also took a swim in the Olympic-sized pool.

Accommodation and Dining
For accommodation, we chose the Holiday Inn Krymsk. The hotel offered spacious family rooms with amenities such as a kid-friendly pool and a supervised play area. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home.
For dining, we recommend the Grandfather's Tavern. This traditional Russian restaurant serves authentic cuisine and has a warm and inviting atmosphere. The kids enjoyed the pelmeni (Russian dumplings) and the blini (pancakes).
Overall, our family travel experience near Kurumoch International Airport was a resounding success. We found plenty of kid-friendly activities that kept everyone entertained and made lasting memories. The proximity to the airport made it easy to access the attractions and return home with ease.
