Our family recently embarked on a memorable trip to Portland, Maine, and were thrilled to discover the abundance of family-friendly activities just a short drive from the Portland International Jetport.

Maine Wildlife Park

A mere 15-minute drive from the airport, Maine Wildlife Park is a sanctuary for rescued and rehabilitated native animals. Our kids loved spotting moose, bears, eagles, and other local wildlife up close.

Casco Bay Ferry

Hop aboard the Casco Bay Ferry for a scenic 75-minute cruise to Peaks Island. This charming island boasts sandy beaches, a historic lighthouse, and charming shops. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy it on the waterfront.
