Unforgettable Family Adventure Near Veracruz International Airport (VER)

Our family recently embarked on an unforgettable adventure near Veracruz International Airport (VER), and we couldn't be happier with our experience. The airport is conveniently located, making it easy to rent a car and explore the surrounding area.

Aquarium of Veracruz

Our first stop was the Aquarium of Veracruz (Acuario de Veracruz). This world-class aquarium boasts an impressive collection of marine life, including sharks, rays, and various tropical fish. The exhibits were well-maintained and informative, and our kids were fascinated by the interactive touch tanks.

Playa Villa del Mar

Next, we headed to Playa Villa del Mar, a beautiful white-sand beach just a short drive from the airport. The water was warm and crystal clear, and the kids enjoyed building sandcastles and splashing in the waves. The beach also had a number of restaurants and cafes where we could relax and enjoy a meal.

Museo de Antropologia

For a bit of history and culture, we visited the Museum of Anthropology (Museo de Antropologia). The museum houses a vast collection of artifacts from Mexico's ancient past, including Olmec and Aztec sculptures. Our kids were particularly interested in the exhibits on pre-Columbian toys and games.

San Juan de Ulua

Finally, we took a boat trip to San Juan de Ulua, a historic fortress located in the Veracruz harbor. We explored the fort's dungeons, towers, and cannons, and learned about its important role in Mexican history. The views from the fortress walls were breathtaking.

Overall, our family travel experience near Veracruz International Airport was fantastic. The area offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, history, and adventure. We highly recommend it to families looking for an unforgettable vacation.
